The Island

Just off the coast of Southwest Florida, midway between Sarasota and Fort Myers near Englewood Beach lies a very special Island - special because Don Pedro Island (also known as Knight and Palm Island) and the adjoining island, Little Gasparilla, are in fact, a true Island with a Gulf beach 7 miles long. There is no bridge connecting our Island to the hurried outside world. This private, unspoiled Island is enhanced by seven miles of tropical, sandy white beaches, peaceful lagoons and the crystal green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The population is varied. Sea turtles, magnificent water birds, raccoons, rabbits, an occasional bobcat, and an eclectic group of friendly "natives" are in residence year-round.
